Hungarian believers have been a part of Liebenzell almost since its founding. Irene Kunst went to China with Liebenzell in 1904. Several others followed, including Mária Molnár, who went to Papua New Guinea in 1927. Along with five other missionaries, she was martyred in 1943.

During the Communist era, faithful believers translated and circulated mission news among Hungarian churches. In the late 1980s, communication was once again established. The Hungarian Mária Molnár Foundation was established in 1994 to promote mission work; five years ago it became an official member of Liebenzell Mission International.

Today, the small society supports two missionaries, serving in Ecuador and Zambia. They also support missions education and promote missions awareness in Hungarian churches.
