France
Although the Catholic church dominates in France statistically,
over the past 200 years this has become a secular nation. Today over
7.7% of the 58 million residents are Muslim (and the number is growing),
while evangelical Christians account for only 0.6% of the population.
In 1987, Liebenzell missionaries started with French language training
and in 1989 evangelical work started in Normandy. Today, six small churches
have since been planted. France
is one of many countries where missionaries require tremendous perseverance
in bringing one soul at a time to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Literature
distribution is an important tool of our evangelistic outreach. Youth
camps, and evangelism outreaches in public halls and retirement communities
are also important tools.

A renovated house in St.
Aubin-du-Perron serves as a retreat center for
mission-related activities.
