Canada
As
a mission field . . .
Toronto
has been called the most international city in the world. People
from all over the world have found a welcome home in this metropolis. Former
missionaries to Bangladesh, now use their language and cultural knowledge
to reach out to the over 5,000 Bengalis living in the area.
Cross-cultural ministry training for missionary candidates places them in
outreach to other people groups in preparation for their overseas work.
In addition, four pastors are involved in local church work in Willowdale,
Kitchener and Edmonton.
As a mission sending organization . . .
Liebenzell
Mission of Canada was founded in 1966 by missionaries retiring from ministry
on the field, but desiring to enlist additional support for Liebenzells
worldwide evangelism efforts. The Mission Centre in Moffat (about 45 minutes
drive from Toronto) serves as headquarters, a base for training missionaries
and a retreat center. A formal internship program provides language training
(English) and pre-field orientation for missionary candidates.
