Directions to Liebenzell from Conn., Westchester, 287, 87

Getting to the Liebenzell USA Guest House & Retreat Center . . .

. . . from Connecticut, Westchester County, N.Y., Tappan Zee Bridge, New York Thruway, I-87:

• Take 287 West toward Ramapo (or 87 south to Ramapo).

• Follow 287 south into New Jersey to junction with I-80 near Parsippany.

• Take I-80 West to Exit 26 (BUDD LAKE /HACKETTSTOWN /46 WEST). Merge on to Route 46 heading west and follow for about five miles to a traffic light at Naughright Rd.

• As you approach the intersection get into the left-hand lane for a left turn onto Naughright Road. A shopping center with an A & P, Burger King and Exxon station will be on the left corner.

• Follow Naughright Road for 2.8 miles; you will come to a crossroad intersection with Flocktown Road. Please watch your mileage carefully; although this intersection is well-marked, there are no special landmarks to watch for, and this turn is easy to miss.

• Turn right onto Flocktown Road and follow for about 2 miles. You will come to a stop at Schooley's Mountain Rd./Route 517. A large wooden eagle, carved from an old tree, is in an island in the middle of the road. On the map below, you'll be arriving on the road coming from the upper right corner.

• If you are going to the Guest House, go straight at this intersection, crossing Schooley's Mountain Road and heading up Heath Lane. The entrance to the Guest House will be to your right in about 300 yards.

• If you are going to the Retreat Center, turn left, go two-tenths of a mile and turn right on to Pleasant Grove Road. Emmanuel Bible Church will be on your left after you turn.

• Follow Pleasant Grove Road for eight-tenths of a mile; the Retreat center will be on your right.
